Nuxeo named to list of ‘best workplaces’

Williamsburg-based Nuxeo, a leading content-services platform, has been named as one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces for 2018. The recognition is the result of a comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits, the company said in a statement.

Out of thousands of applicants, Inc. singled out just under 300 winning companies. To qualify for the award, companies had to have minimum of 10 employees and to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent.

“Our company culture is based on creating an environment that allows our team members to have a work-life blend, and we pride ourselves on offering an extremely supportive work environment,” said Eric Barroca, CEO of Nuxeo. “From associate-level employees to the executive team, everyone is always open-minded and supportive of other people’s ideas, feelings, and suggestions, and the executive team has an open door and a transparent communication style that makes employees feel empowered and involved.”

Among other perks, Nuxeo flew all of its 73 employees to Iceland early this year for three to four nights. “During this time, employees participated in company update sessions and departmental meetings, while also engaging in various team-building activities and other fun stuff,” Inc. reported.

In describing its service, the company says on its website: “Nuxeo makes your content accessible to your entire organization while also keeping it safe.”
